Having professional advisors who work with students to understand program requirements and build a graduation plan gives Exercise Science (ES) faculty more time for meaningful conversations with students about professional standards and responsibilities, as well as pathways to graduate/professional schools and careers.
Of course, mentoring relationships evolve organically for many of our students and faculty both inside and outside the classroom, but the program is intentional about devoting time to these important topics in the required Introduction to Exercise Science course.
The following individuals within the Exercise Science program have been identified as initial points of contact for mentoring:
Dr. Travis Triplett, Exercise Science Program Director: general mentoring inquiries
Dr. Bob Kowalsky: mentoring for students interested in applied exercise physiology pathways
Mr. Keane Hamilton: mentoring for students interested in strength and conditioning pathways
