Improving health through multiple academic disciplines
PHES offers undergraduate degrees in Exercise Science and Public Health.
- Exercise Science prepares students for admission into graduate programs in exercise science/kinesiology, health professions programs (physical/occupational therapy, physician assistant, athletic training, etc.), and for careers in clinical settings (i.e., wellness/cardiac rehabilitation) and fitness/athletic professions (i.e., strength & conditioning, personal training).
- Public Health prepares students to identify the health-related needs of communities and to implement interventions to improve the health and well-being of populations.
PHES also offers a graduate degree in Exercise Science.
- The Exercise Science graduate program prepares qualified professionals for employment in athletics programs, exercise/fitness centers, hospital wellness programs, corporate fitness programs, rehabilitation centers, and allied health areas. Additionally, the program prepares students for advanced study in exercise science disciplines (exercise physiology, biomechanics, etc.), the health professions (physical/occupational therapy, physician assistant, medicine, etc.), and for research.
