Research Interests

My research is nested within enhancing the quality life in older and diseased populations through physical rehabilitation and neurorestoration. My research interest includes 1) biomechanical analysis of gait and activities of daily living, 2) neural control of movement, and 3) clinical symptoms and treatment of movement disorders. Currently, my work is designed around enhancing the cognitive and physical abilities in older adults. I am now using a novel multimodal approach, using motor imagery and noninvasive brain stimulation, to improve motor learning and new skill acquisition. In the future, I will continue to perform similar research but in neurological populations, i.e., Parkinsons disease.
